When you call the law makers and tell them you support XYZ bill.. my question is what do you get out of it!
When the lawmaker realizes that he is getting 10000 calls from LEGAL aliens,
>who are not from his constituency,
>who can�t vote and
>who can�t contribute to his election campaign�
what is the motivation for the law maker to support the bill�
So to avoid sounding stupid and foolish and desperate when you call� a more logical approach would be to :
a) Generate a public petition form on IV website and have all the members� login and sign the forms digitally�
b) Then have IV reps.. fax them and send them to lobby groups �.
c) Lawmakers will listen to one talking head�and not worry abt 1000 calls that borders on ..�saar �support the bill saar�..
How many of you have actually talked to the lawmakers? Its always the assistant!
But instead .. someone says we have a signed petition of 25000 members effected by immigration mess �. And it�s a hi tech workers lobby group ..every lawmaker will talk to you and not the assistant!
Conclusion: calling the lawmakers haphazardly is actually hurting IV cause..to a certain extent!

Read again. I did not call the consultants sleazy. Also, I did not generalize them. My support is followed in the second line.
To me, this statement does not really deliver anything substantial or meaningful. Can you please reiterate?

My point to say all companies lie/manipulate things to certain extent..desi consultants atleast dont deprive lives like other BIG companies where shareholders are kept in dark until they realize that company is no more worth anything.
Iam not supporting any malpractises are anything anyways this is not a criminal thing its just immoral ..however if theres a loop hole and people want to chance it its upto them. They will be appropriately denied if they are caught, However its not like they are killing anybody.
Finally what do you think when even govt is planning to make illegals legals ..its respecting peoples wishes against legal things(ofcourse they get benifitted)Humanity/compassion is number one..rules are for our well being ..they are not hard and fast. Check for your reputation here i think it says some thing.

The VB mentions that dates will revert back to the June bulletin and the current says that they may retrogress. We are being too optimistic. before people start the bashing, i am EB3 retrogressed and have sent emails and letters about this issue, still waiting for a response. A query to my congressman came back with more spin about national security and how they are comitted to meaningful immigration policy, nothing from the letters to Rep. logfren and USCIS. Oct VB will be an eye opener for us as well as other EB2's and EB 3 ROWs.

Did you use PO box as address on I-485? I had heard USCIS does not accept PO box as address in I-485.
actually what happen The NBC sent my I-797 Welcome notice to my lawyer and one to me but because I was not on the lease I didn't have my name written on the mail box, so the mail man returned the notice to the sender (NBC) after that the NBC when they got back the welcome notice they re-opened the case so after that I got a new message saying the last letter we sent has been returned it is very important that we have the right address blah blah blah
and then my lawyer called and made sure they have my right address since I use a PO BOX for mailing purposes not my physical address
and then I got an online message saying we mailed the document to the address we have in our file or our system something like this
and after some day I got the Document they were talking about sent to my PO BOX: it is not GC but the Welcome notice that failed to get to me in the first place
so Document in my case is the Welcome notice
I really can not believe my eyes until I will see my GC in my hand

Is IV interested in doing a Freedom Of Information Act request to USCIS how and when they used up all visa numbers for EB3-India. That might show some information if they cooked the numbers if at all. We might get some more insight which monthly VISA bulletin does NOT give.

Why are you so PROUD to be an American? I would strongly disagree that H1 = cheap labor. It's only the H1B employer who pays low salaries, where as the client pays the same billing rate to all contractors (including US citizens).

We have to talk to people and participate in various forums to make them aware of our cause. Standing and protesting is not going to help us, because our voice will still be lost in the din...we need to speak where it matters and be heard where it matters...
