when a EB3-I family gets a GC ..they should buy a lottery on that day..it is definitely one of their lucky days

I was seeing lot of posts in this forum about reverse brain drain, so I wanted to comeup with a question which would answer my question without doubt.
I wanted to see if all those who are in the GC queue and think that they are a very important for America and insist on that in their signature by saying "Help us stop reverse brain drain" are really meaning what they say.
I beleive if we are so much in demand we can get a job in another country and have similar quality of life or better. So only poeple who are confident of the reverse brain drain and America should stop it will not hesitate to vote "Yes" if they are so frustated with the GC wait times.
Once again thanks to everyone who so far particiapted in this poll and posted comments.

How will it march steadily when we have less than 3000 numbers for the year?
I am sure we have many pplicants with PD in 2002 and 2003. I would be surprised if PD moves beyond April 2002 in FY 2009.
Assuming no other miracle happens!

One of the approaches can be for state chapters to be involved and solicit donations from local members. I liked the idea for donations from immigrants who have already obtained green cards and online ADS from google as long as we do not overdo it. I am leaning more towards funding drives. For reasons that people in the process understand better than I do, I agree that the amounts cannot be disclosed. Hence it would be nice to have offline discussions or discussions on PMs on targets between state chapter members.
I for one am not for monthly payments or memberships. That just makes for exclusive organization and we want to be more inclusive.
I also had another important question we need to ask ourselves. Do we want to solicit funding or donations or participation? They are two very different things. Participation is not limited to monetary involvement but can include time and ability (designing banners, websites, writing letters et al.) donation.

IV is already not member friendly. With 25,000 members, raising 30,000 is getting so difficult. Why so? I once posed the question and moderators conveniently deleted it.

if "members" are willing to make this their organization their own- if there is to be this sense of involvement and ownership, then we will succeed. if not, if the attitude for the most is going to be "why should i" and "nope i am not contributing" and "how dare you ask" and "i have free speech" and "why doesn't iv do xyz for me" and "why should logiclife use this and that tenor" and "why did abc say def to me" and "i demand respect" and the best "these are my 2c but don't ask me to lift a finger to do this- iv should do this" then forget it. won't happen. because that IV you are imagining doing wonders and making miracles is YOU.
let me take this opportunity to thank everyone that participated in the fund drive, joined state chapters, met lawmakers, took initiatives to start state groups, ran the funding threads and contributed in any other way.

Quite honestly I think the best value from an MBA is derived from the timing, i.e. where one is in his / her career. I had a B Com (Accounting) from University of Sydney, an American CPA, combined with 10 years of work experience whilst enrolling for the MBA. I knew ahead, the curriculum wasn't going to bring added technical knowledge, however, it did bring some new ways of approaching the business community. Having the opportunity to sit in a class room and share / hear experiences from some of the successful executives does broaden the thought process. The program also helps build / expand the network. Again, I didn't feel I learnt something groundbreaking on the technical aspects of accounting / financial analysis, or the everyday business etc, but I wouldn't say it was completely useless. Plus for some reason, the "tag" does help.
BTW, I'm not sure the background of those who provided you feedback. My sentiments are shared at least by 3 good friends. One is a Wharton Alum and the other two, from University of Toronto. All of whom had at least 14 years of work experience, and were Canadian Chartered Accountants at the time of enrollment. The feedback could vary depending on the backgrounds.

I am with the same employer who sponsored GC. Until GC was approved I was with H1B visa. Is it neccessary for me to file I-9 after GC?

Below is purely my speculation!
Assuming there are 400k applications pending (may be a bad assumption) > so about 100k with PD's Jun 2003 or less...
10k per year allotted so 10 years to reach June 2003 :confused:

Oh really? do you think so? RBI controls the exchange rate. You know who control RBI? Banks like ICICI and big corporate companies like RIL etc and other biggies and also big IT comps.
You seem to believe in all the conspiracy theories out there. India is no more a third world country. There are many deep pockets and if there was any such arbitrague existing people will mint money all day long. Rupee is not fully floating currency that doesn't mean you can control what the exchange rate is going to be. No company or congolmerate can manipulate market like that.
